What we offer :

We like to design buildings that both express the character of their residents and can be integrated in rural or city context. Would you like to build your dream house from scratch or just make an extension on your current house? Then we are more than happy to help you.  B3D is specialized in:

Architectural design

complete projects of new residential and public buildings, both for private and business clients, but also design or renovation of external facades both for aesthetic reasons and in order to resolve technical issues

Extensions

extensions of existing buildings: one more floor, a veranda or just an enlargement of the existing space in order to increase the living space

Monumental buildings

renovation of monumental buildings: new designs to change their function or to solve technical problems

Tiny houses

as independent dwellings or as dependence in the backyard of an existing building

How we work :

In B3D we like to make the wishes of our clients come true. For this reason, before we start with any design we make a first appointment free of charge. In this way we can make a tailor-made quotation which will meet every requirement. The quotation will include some or all the following steps, depending on the project:

2D preliminary design

it includes the 2D digitalization of the existing situation (if there is an existing building) and the first concept design with floor plans, sections, elevations

3D design and renders

photorealistic images of the building in order to help the clients to visualize all the materials

License applications

if required, to the city hall: environmental license, change of the zoning plan (bestemmingsplan) etc. The licenses will include drawings such as: floor plans, sections, elevations, technical details, calculations etc.

2D working drawings

construction drawings (floor plans, sections, elevation, details) for the building site and as base for the quotation of the building contractor

Work supervision

both on site, with frequent inspections to follow the construction phase and the resolution of problems that may occur during the process, and in the back-office, with the coordination of the contractor, sub-contractors, suppliers and installers, the request and comparison of cost estimates

During the design process, additional meetings can be arranged, if needed, in order to discuss and finalize the design according tothe clients’ requirements.

Additionally, we collaborate with several professionals, such as advisors for the thermal performance of buildings and structural calculations, and we are in contact with several suppliers of building materials and contractors. Therefore, we are able to offer our clients all the necessary services that are required from the beginning of the project until the end of the construction site.

Vacancies

Due to the growth of beautiful projects, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague, an architectural draftsman. Someone who can support and relieve the work of the four current architects in all phases of the process.

We are looking for an architectural draftsman with:

  • an architectural background
  • knowledge of the Building Decree
  • experience working with AutoCAD, Revit is a plus, Sketchup, Adobe Suite
  • a good command of the Dutch language in word and writing
  • a good command of the English language
  • good communication skills
  • flexible attitude
  • structure
  • out of the box – ideas
 

Salary is in accordance with the collective agreement and depends on age and experience.
The number of hours can be determined in consultation.

Internship

We invite candidates who are currently studying architecture, interior design or lighting design at university level to apply as an intern. We also welcome recent graduates participating in the Erasmus+ internship program.

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent design and CAD skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • 3D rendering skills (Sketchup, Revit is a plus)
  • Able to work in an international team
  • Written proof of enrollment at a university or academy or
  • Written proof of participation in the Erasmus+ internship program
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
