Haasbeek Bookstore

Alphen aan den Rijn (NL)

2014 – complete

#interior design #light plan #horeca
Bookstores nowadays are not just shops, but also café and study areas. This is the case of a bookstore in Alphen aan den Rijn, which was designed as a study environment with the intention to make the “book” more attractive to its readers. All the elements, such as the staircase and the book stands, were developed from A to Z, from the concept sketch to the construction drawings. The entire project was completed with the light design which differs between the different sectors. Decorative and general lighting are combined together to offer a different reading experience.
