This detached building in Alphen aan den Rijn was originally built in 1972 as a pharmacy with a laboratory on the premises. Over time, the function of the laboratory was no longer needed. As a result, part of the building had to be converted into flats. The surface area of the attic was increased by adding four dormer windows, repeating the rhythm of the existing openings on the floor below. At the same time, the interior was redesigned and the existing exterior was refreshed. In addition, bureaucratic issues such as parking spaces, new street numbers and utility connections were taken care of. Moreover, this transformation required additional mailboxes, so the existing mailboxes were redesigned and the billboard with the companies’ names rebuilt. Architecture is not just about developing projects for buildings, but also thinking about all the details around them.

Due to the growth of beautiful projects, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague, an architectural draftsman. Someone who can support and relieve the work of the four current architects in all phases of the process.

We are looking for an architectural draftsman with:

  • an architectural background
  • knowledge of the Building Decree
  • experience working with AutoCAD, Revit is a plus, Sketchup, Adobe Suite
  • a good command of the Dutch language in word and writing
  • a good command of the English language
  • good communication skills
  • flexible attitude
  • structure
  • out of the box – ideas
 

Salary is in accordance with the collective agreement and depends on age and experience.
The number of hours can be determined in consultation.

Internship

We invite candidates who are currently studying architecture, interior design or lighting design at university level to apply as an intern. We also welcome recent graduates participating in the Erasmus+ internship program.

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent design and CAD skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • 3D rendering skills (Sketchup, Revit is a plus)
  • Able to work in an international team
  • Written proof of enrollment at a university or academy or
  • Written proof of participation in the Erasmus+ internship program
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
